Disaster

[19:00] I’m now in the flight from Amsterdam to Paris, and I’ve just noticed that I made one mistake. I don’t have the way from the airport to the accommodation tonight. How can I get there…? Well it is no doubt a fact that the computer environment is getting more and more convenient day by day, but I also recognized that I should have bring a map printed on a sheet of paper instead. Like the offline feature of Gmail or Google Calendar, they should also provide Google Map Offline as well. Sigh……

[19:45] I landed on CDG Airport. The problem here is that I can’t read French. It’s a shame of me… very shameful because if my memory was correct, I enrolled in French course as a second language when I was a freshman. If I had been so a diligent student, I must have had a good French usage, but unfortunately not. The reality is always cruel to me.

[19:50] Thanks to that I cannot speak French, I got completely lost in the airport. According to the airport staff, I was in the line of security check for the Amsterdam transit. How fool am I!! By the way, there seems to be no free WiFi service in the airport. My disaster is getting bigger and bigger in this age.

[20:10] Got the baggage. Left the airport area. Heading for the railway. And… with my poor… English (not French obviously), I managed to buy a ticket from the airport to the center of Paris. But where is the station!?

[21:20] I ran into the RER train, and with two times of transfer, I finally got to the closest station to the hotel. A kind gentleman helped me figure out the way from the station to boulevard. Yes! I finally extracted the correct way from my vague memory, and got to the hotel!! What a big adventure!? But I win!!!!

[21:30] Ah…? Cannot connect to the Internet. WTF!?

[21:45] Suddenly, the wireless network accepted me. Phew… But for the next moment when I opened my suitcase, one of my handcream has been exploded during the flight I guess… and half my jacket and socks were deadly injured :( I may need to do a laundry tomorrow. The easy mistake.

[Now] Actually, this much troubling travel is the first experience. In addition, I'm already awake for nearly consecutive 24 hours. In Japan, it must be Sunday morning already. Ahhhh exhausted. I will go to bed soon. Good night!

On Holidays

After all the univ staffs done, I finally got two weeks off from school. I’ve finished my work on grad thesis, gave presentation, done other stuffs. Yes, now the time to take holidays. This time, the destination is to France. I’ve never been to Europe except for the England, where I’ve been to in my high school days. The 4th time of my trip abroad, already somewhat familiar to fly overseas.

I’m now still on the way to Amsterdam, feel like being stuffed in the small cage… well economy. I will arrive at the airport in a next couple of hours. Already saw two movies, Inception and Sex And The City 2, kinda boring. I also talked with the neighbor, who is also on the grad trip with the friend. Their dest seems to be Spain. Ah, I’m quite surprised for the lunch was quite nice, better than ever. KLM may be a good choice.

Gonna see the movie The Social Network, the one I saw on the second day from its release in JP. BTW, I like this movie, it’s well organized and not too much exaggerated in term of the programmer.

I’m sooooooo bored…

Nothing but dying....

My graduation presentation (oral defense) will start 10:45 tomorrow. This will be the first and last chance that I can describe what I was thinking in last several months. We have only 10 minutes for our explanation.

Some people who did experiments of existing methods can explain how they carried out them and what result they gained. As for others who implemented software or who improved data calculation algorithm, they may give a presentation explaining their methods. What about me?

My extreme unfortunate destiny follows like this: First, I've got a great idea. Second, it sounds interesting to me. Third, I managed to explain that in the thesis. Finally, the method I came up with was already proposed 12 years ago... sigh....

Ahhhhhhhhhh............ orz

Graduation Thesis

Last several weeks, I've been spending the busiest time through out my whole university life. But luckily I'm very fine and alive to work hard for them. So, the greatest matter I'm dealing with now is my graduation thesis, which is to be submitted in next 22 hours. The due time is tomorrow 3:00 pm...

After this is done, I only have two final examinations on information education and statistics. It seems I'm enjoying the hardest time in my university life, hahaha :P
